New Build Development

A medium sized new build residential development in Milton Keynes, developed by a market leading affordable housing association.

Residential

42 x electric vehicle charging points across the development

Mixture of individual homes and communal courtyards

Design, installation & on-going management provided by EV Park

Scope of project:

This project had an obligation within their planning requirements to install EV charging for all parking bays associated with a property in line with the Part S regulations. This development consists of 42 new affordable homes with a mixture of individual homes alongside two apartment blocks at each end of the development.

Solution:

EV Park supported the development team with initial infrastructure design and consultation to identify the best locations for electric vehicle charging points to ensure all charging points are accessible. During the design process, a power assessment was carried out to ensure all new power supplies from GTC met the requirements based on the number of charging points connected to each feeder pillar.

EV Park then worked alongside the on-site electrical and groundwork team to deliver an affordable programme which met the timeframes for handover.

The EV Park operation and maintenance plan has ensured the developer is future-proofed and protected from changes in technology. EV Park will manage and operate the charging points with all maintenance costs being rolled into the EV tariff to avoid future expenditure to the service charge ensuring the project remains affordable.

Resident Engagement:

EV Park has provided welcome packages to each property with unique access codes for their dedicated charging point. Individual homes were also provided with a market leading 5-year warranty on charging points installed on-plot / driveways.

What they said

EV Park has supported the development team from start to finish to deliver one of our first EV charging projects. The EV Park installation team completed works as a part of our installation schedule ensuring handover was not delayed.”
